Guernsey Post Falklands Stamps
It’s always an honour designing stamp sets for Guernsey Post and no more so than designing this new set commemorating 40 years since the beginning of the Falklands War and the sinking of HMS Ardent which was sunk on 21 May 1982 after air strikes hit the ship several times. The memorial plaque at The Foulon Cemetery belonging to Guernseyman, Petty Officer Peter Ian Herbert Brouard R.N., who died in action aboard HMS Ardent, is depicted on the £1.26p stamp
