Duke of Cambridge 30th Birthday Stamps
We have just received our samples of the Duke of Cambridge 30th Birthday commemorative stamp set that we were commissioned to design for Guernsey Post and were issued at the end of May. We thought you might like to see them. We decided to use iconic images of the Duke of Cambridge (aka Prince William) from the last dozen years or so which represent a good cross section of some of his finest recent achievements (getting married to the lovely Kate excluded, as a set of Royal Wedding stamps have already been issued by Guernsey Post). Designed to work in chronological order from 2000 onwards, we allowed the images themselves to do the hard work with just the use of some very fine pinstripe detailing and colouring to add design flourishes with a clean, minimal use of typography that would enhance not distract from the images. Really nice piece of work from Jenny and a great set to add to the Queen's Diamond Jubilee set we designed for Guernsey Post earlier this year.
