Age Concern Guernsey Party in the Park
To celebrate 25 years of Age Concern in Guernsey, 200 plus members and volunteers were invited to Party in the Park, an afternoon of entertainment, food and drink at St Pierre Park Hotel, which we undertook the event management for as well as the design of leaflets and banners. The event was also attended by the Lieutenant-Governor and Bailiff go Guernsey. The Chairman of Age Concern Guernsey said "We are very proud of our charity and what we offer to older people in Guernsey. We are committed to making lives in the community better and more inclusive for older people and as a charity we rely on our kind and generous team of volunteers who offer friendship, support and information to our service users". Hand-made bunting for the event was kindly and very expertly designed by pupils at La Mare De Carteret Primary School, an idea initiated by Two Degrees North to to help link the young and old. Goody bags were also awarded as prizes to 3 of the pupils who were judged to have created the best designs.
